The 8 Pillar Framework, established by Wes Lawrence & Belinda Lay, explains the 8 links in the chain of an Agtech Installation. It has been created to give producers on understanding of the process and the tools to work out which part isn’t working. It can also double as an assessment matrix to help decide which solution is fit for their in particular purpose.

The Utility vs Control Concept looks at the current state of play of the Agtech Industry whereby there is currently a trade off for producers between having control and ownership of the data generated on their properties and being able to Utilise that data to gain insights into their operations and production systems.

This is based around knowledge, decision and action, first you need to understand where you are to work out the pathway to automation and how the progression of knowledge, decision and action is transferred from human to machine.
