Coolindown Farms is the first in Australia to use IoT devices to track animal welfare using the Sigfox network.

IoT devices use radio frequency to transmit data to a tower which is much cheaper than wifi based systems. That data is then relayed to a mobile or wifi network and comes back to phone in real time. Our collars are battery powered with a battery life of 1 year, they send us a reading every 30minutes which gives us a real ability to track our livestock any time of the day.
